Waxing Moon
On this last Moonday of June, let's honor the month's namesake: Juno, goddess of marriage, motherhood and home life. Though the wedding industry may not realize it, June has historically been considered auspicious for marriages because of Juno's influence.
Juno is a heavenly queen and expects to be treated as such. If you want your mate or latest hot date to treat you like a queen, Juno can help you help yourself. If you treat yourself like a queen, others will follow suit.
What's it mean to be a queen? There's the crown, of course, and the gems, baubles, fine fabrics and luxuries. Very nice. But there is a price. A queen is responsible for the well-being of her people. She is a model of excellence. She is a leader. She's no princess. The princess has a wishbone; the queen has a backbone.
Since two is Juno's sacred number, gather two silver coins (quarters will do nicely). The round coins symbolize the moon, which happens to be Juno's heavenly body. Step outside with your coins in hand and turn your face to the night. Ask Juno to bless your silver like so:
Juno, queen of heaven's orb,
May these silver coins absorb
The power of your regal grace
To transmit to my own face.
My eyes shall see and it shall be
That I, too, wear a crown like you.
Step back into your queenly domain. Recline on your bed or some other "throne", and place the silver coins on your closed eyelids. Feel their cool surface and visualize yourself in your own queenly power. The queen has compassion, grace, strength, composure. She treats herself with respect. She treats others likewise. She knows she's in charge. No need to push or strive for it. It's a given. Remember, too, that queens get support -- a whole staff, even. Being queen doesn't mean doing everything yourself. It means, ultimately, being accountable. Experience within you what that feels like.
Imagine that the coins are charging you with you this intent. They are.
When you feel complete, remove the coins. Over the next week, spend one and give one away. As the queen, you care for yourself and you care for others. This energy of goodwill will come back to you multiplied.
Don't be surprised if you find yourself taking better care of your body and home after this ritual. And take note of the way your mate is responding to you. We attract what we give out.
I bow to your radiance.
